CEO of travel company accused of data theft Sanjeev K Ahuja   Hindustan Times   Updated: Aug 10, 2010 00:32 IST The chief executive officer, an expat from UK, and director of a travel company were on Monday summoned to the office of senior police officials of Gurgaon police in a case of data theft. A case of breach of Information Technology Act was filed against the duo and two more employees of the same company in December last year. Cleartrip CEO Stuart Crighton and director Amit Taneja participated in the investigation in the office of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Surender Singh. "They were arrested and released immediately as the duo had already obtained anticipatory bail," Joint CP Alok Mittal said. Cleartrip Chief Operating Officer (COO) P.K.X. Cleartrip CEO & Former Desiya CEO Arrested, Released By  Diwaskar Chettri   on January 6, 2010 Online travel agency Travelocity India has filed an FIR against Amit Taneja, former MD of Desiya and Stuart Crighton, CEO,  Cleartrip  for alleged criminal breach of trust, data theft, cheating, criminal misappropriation and criminal conspiracy.  Himanshu Singh, MD, Travelocity India  confirmed to Medianama that they have registered a complaint with the Civil Lines Police Station in Gurgoan. Desiya became a subsidiary of Travelocity following the acquisition of Travelguru in August 2009. A copy of the FIR in our possession reads that Taneja had allegedly passed on the company’s intellectual property, trade secrets, sensitive data, proprietary technology source codes, their entire hotel business model and projections to Crighton including an excel file named ‘Hotels Growth Model.xls’. It further ...
