Two immigration agents booked for possession of fake stamps
Owner of a local immigration consultancy firm has been booked in two different cases by the local police following a raid by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) here According to the police, they have booked Gurinder Singh, owner of Seabird International Private Limited at Phase XI, for cheating and criminal conspiracy. Another case under the Arms Act has been slapped against him. As per information, the police recovered 27 fake stamps of senior government officials, including deputy commissioners, tehsildars and executive magistrates. Three stamps of different banks and one of a doctor was also recovered. The police also recovered an expensive toy pistol from his residence at Sector 70. A team of the Enforcement Directorate had raided his office yesterday after receiving complaints under the Foreign Exchange Management Act and recovered an amount of Rs 22 lakh and some objectionable material.
